When can I start the course?
The first intake is February, the second intake is July.
What are the class hours?
Tuesday 6.30pm – 8.30pm and Wednesday 9.00am – 3.00pm.
Can I study part-time?
We offer 5 subjects per semester, you can choose to study anywhere from 1 – 5 subjects per semester. We allow you the freedom to decide which subjects you wish to study.
Can I study non-assessed?
You are able to study Short Courses from our Certificate IV in Minstry without doing assessment at a reduced cost per unit (starting from $20/week). You will still attend normal classes and chapel services, however will not graduate with a Certificate.
What is involved with the internship?
As a full-time student (or if you are enrolled in an internship unit) you will be required to complete a one day per week internship. This will be conducted at your local church. The department you serve in and days you intern will be determined between you and your pastor.
Who is Alphacrucis College?
All accredited coursed are offered through Alphacrucis College (www.ac.edu.au). Alphacrucis College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Higher Education Provider.
What if I haven't known my pastor for more than 12 months?
In this case, we would request that you get both your current pastor and previous church pastor to complete a Pastoral Reference.
Can I get a different pastor than from my home church to fill out the Pastoral Reference form?
We prefer for the Pastoral Reference to come from your home church. Please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly if you have any further questions about it.
Do I need to be attending a local church to apply?
We require that you participate in a local church, which is where you will be completing your internship.
I have previously studied at another college, can I apply for Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) or be exempt from certain classes?
Sometimes previous studies can be carried across, please email email@example.com with your academic transcripts.
What books do I need to bring? Can I find out what books I will need before coming to college?
The book list is given out in the first few weeks of classes and books are made available to purchase at college. The average price per book is between $20-$30.
Do I have to pay my fees upfront?
No, payment plans are available, whereby a 10% deposit is paid upfront (due one week prior to commencing study). The remaining 90% is placed on a payment plan (payable by the end of your study period).

Am I too old or young to come to College?
We have students who are in their senior years of high-school attend as well as adult professionals, parents and seniors in life. We believe you are never too old to answer God's call for your life or to learn more about Him.
